Here is my honest take on AI resilient businesses as a startup founder:
AI being a sophisticated statistics machine is unbeatable in quickly analyzing vast amounts of human knowledge, establishing patterns and finding solutions or bugs based on these data.
But what AI cannot do is predict human decisions. So as long as we do not live under AI dictatorship, the realms of present and future are essentially AI proof.
In other words, AI cannot know the next interest rate decision or the next law, or if somebody decides to strike tomorrow. Equally, AI cannot predict future product decisions or brilliant scientific ideas.
So I believe that any businesses working around human decisions and ideas are going to do well in the post-AI era. Maybe it does not feel exactly this way right now as we live in a sort of AI euphoria (polite for “bubble”). There are so many accumulated tasks for AI in the old data that we almost believe that AI can do everything.
On the other hand, AI is great at exposing fraud (such as copy-pasting content), so it feels like bunch of industries are dying. But I believe that inevitably original ideas will be the new gold after the current AI euphoria fades.
So in summary, any work that feels like a pattern will likely be consumed by AI eventually, but anything that involves randomness created by current or future events is going to be AI proof.
